Kabir's Tech Dives
I'm always fascinated by new technology, especially AI. One of my biggest regrets is not taking AI electives during my undergraduate years. Now, with consumer-grade AI everywhere, I’m constantly discovering compelling use cases far beyond typical ChatGPT sessions.
As a tech founder for over 22 years, focused on niche markets, and the author of several books on web programming, Linux security, and performance, I’ve experienced the good, bad, and ugly of technology from Silicon Valley to Asia.
In this podcast, I share what excites me about the future of tech, from everyday automation to product and service development, helping to make life more efficient and productive.

ChatGPT's Autonomous Agents: Revolutionizing Tasks and Privacy
This episode explores the OpenAI's new ChatGPT Agent, a significant advancement allowing the AI to proactively perform complex, multi-step tasks on a user's behalf by interacting with external tools and websites. This agent, combining prior "Operator" and "Deep Research" capabilities, can browse the web, analyze data, generate reports, and even make purchases or schedule events within a virtual computer environment. While offering unprecedented convenience for tasks like travel planning or financial analysis, the sources also highlight urgent privacy and security concerns, including the risk of prompt injection attacks and the need for users to exercise caution and grant minimal access to their personal data and accounts. The rollout is phased, with Pro, Plus, and Team users gaining initial access to this experimental yet powerful new AI capability.
