MuleSoft's 2024 Connectivity Benchmark Report, based on a survey of 1,050 global IT leaders, reveals that AI adoption is exploding, but integration and security are major obstacles. Data silos and system fragility hinder digital transformation, while automation remains a source of tension between IT and business units. Although almost all companies use APIs, few leverage them strategically. The report highlights the critical need for a coherent IT strategy to address these challenges and maximize the benefits of emerging technologies. Increased IT budgets and headcount reflect the growing demand for integration and automation solutions.
